Congratulations to Professor Sotiria Grek in Social Policy for her appointment as a fellow of The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE). This recognises her contribution to social sciences, especially in the development of education governance research.
Being an RSE Fellow plays a fundamental role in supporting the Royal Society of Edinburgh's mission of 'Knowledge made Useful'. Fellows are selected on the bases of the RSE objectives (to inspire, engage, provide expertise and promote) and come from a range of sectors including physical and life sciences, arts, humanities, social sciences, education, professions, industry, business and public life.
Professor Grek said, "I feel humbled and honoured to have been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. I look forward to actively contributing to the important work of the RSE, towards the creation of a more equal, sustainable and educated Scotland."
