Content
The book - Neoliberalism and the Voluntary and Community Sector in Northern Ireland - considers the role these groups have played in rolling out and normalising neoliberal discourses and policies.
With lessons about the impact of neoliberal policies on governance, relationships and the peace process, it explores how a core part of civil society has been shaped by both local policy priorities and broader political and economic processes.
Markus, a Senior Lecturer in Global and International Social Policy at SPS, co-authored the book with Ciaran Hughes, Research Associate at Ulster University.
Neoliberalism and the Voluntary and Community Sector in Northern Ireland has been published by Policy Press (Bristol University Press).
