PhD project title: "(Nature's Law) That Man Was Made to Mourn": Homelessness, Dispossession and Madness in Scotland's Medical Greenspace.

My research sits in medical anthropology, investigating the role of emergent NHS Green Health programming for people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, substance-use issues, involvement with the criminal justice system, and other forms of social marginalisation. Funded by the Wenner-Gren Foundation, my ethnographic research explores how greenspace is mobilised as a form of care within NHS Scotland and partner services, and how Scotland’s health landscapes are more broadly shaped by infrastructures of exclusion and access.
