How to Use the Library
Description
Do you find the Main Library overwhelming and confusing? Are you baffled about how you are meant to use the Library to find materials, in print or online? You are not alone. Library anxiety is a common and prevalent phenomenon for new university students but getting to know the basics of how to use the Library will help you be more confident and give you the skills to quickly and easily find readings for your courses or assignments.
In this 1 hour session we will look at accessing the Library, both physically and digitally, and finding materials in the Library. After this session participants will be able to:
- Quickly find and access items from their reading lists
- Understand how to find books and journal articles (online and in print) through DiscoverEd
- Know where to go to get help with using the Library
Please note: This session will be delivered online via Collaborate. The link to join the event will be sent in a separate email.
