Description

Conflict can have an adverse impact on our relationships and the world around us at both a micro and macro level, but does it have its place? Conflict can open our eyes to new ways of thinking, deepen relationships, promote organisational vitality and help us verbalize our needs. This 90-minute workshop will look at making conflict work for you. Beginning by understanding your own personal conflict style, we will move through to how to augment this in a professional setting, explore assertiveness techniques and finally practice your negotiation skills. As leaders of the future it’s important you know how to assert yourself and make your ideas heard, even if they are disruptive.

• You will be introduced to a variety of conflict styles/approaches/tools.

• There will be an opportunity to reflect on your own approach to conflict and deepen your understanding of the impact this can have on those around you, including exploring managing your emotions in a professional setting.

• We will look at negotiation skills and the role they can play in preventing negative conflict and reaching a mutually beneficial result.

Facilitated by Katie Scott
