What can I do with my degree?

The specific skills and techniques gained by studying a SPS degree can be useful in numerous jobs. Professions include marketing associate professionals, business associated professionals, and HR related roles.
Other areas of work may include politics and government, policy work, charity and development work, journalism, accountancy, social and political research, and education.
More than a fifth of graduates go on to further study and may choose to specialise in a particular subject at Master's level or broaden their opportunities and move into careers such as law and journalism.

The Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help students and recent graduates explore different career options and make decisions for the future.

We have a range of reference materials in the Careers Service to help you with the job application process.
We offer a range of lunchtime workshops on these topics. All workshops will be advertised via MyCareersHub.
You can also book a mock interview to get some practice before you go for the real thing.

We offer a range of information sessions on different career areas, further study, skills sessions, employer presentations, and more. There are also employer, further study and volunteering careers fairs.
